This question was sent to me by a reader. Demi Moore designed the black strappy gown from Indecent Proposal. You will receive a cyber hug if you answer correctly.
In 11th grade, there was a big problem at the homecoming dance of my high school because five girls showed up in this exact dress. The two girls in question were not the most pleasant people. (Think ‘Mean Girls squared’). The five girls spent their evenings in the bathroom, one of them crying. And the four others spent the remainder of the night glaring at each other. This incident was one of the highlights in my otherwise dull high school career.
Who created the Indecent Proposal dress?
Our readers were asked to answer the question. Thank you to all who answered my question: “Who’s the designer behind the Demi Moor Dress Recent Proposal?”
Please drum roll…
Thierry mugler designed the dress that Demi Moore wore in Indecent proposal. Mugler became a famous designer after working for fashion houses that produced ready-to wear in Paris. Milan, London and Barcelona. Mugler was a favourite of supermodels like Cindy Crawford, George Michael and other A-listers for his futuristic and dramatic designs. The wildly successful perfume Angel helped Mugler’s brand to be financially successful throughout the 1990s.

Where is the Indecent Proposal Dress Designer?
Clarins purchased the name Thierry mugler from him in 1997. Clarins closed down Clarins’ Thierry Mugler Ready-to-Wear collection five years after it was launched. The perfume business remained open. Thierry Mugler the designer was now a separate entity from the company that shares his name. He began to do other things such as photography, music video directing, designing costumes for touring artists and stage productions.
He now goes by the name Manfred to distinguish himself from Thierry the brand. The brand itself has also evolved. In 2008, the brand launched a cosmetics collection, in 2010 the revival of its menswear line, and in 2010, the name Mugler was shorten.
In 2019, cardi B wore “Birth of Venus”,a gown designed by Manfred 1995.
Mugler dresses: More designs
These pieces are not designed by Manfred but they carry the Mugler name. They have the same futuristic feel that attracted us to the Indecent Proposal Dress in 1993. You will be in sticker shock when you see these expensive pieces.
