Here’s something you need to know. Cheap nail polish will update your look the easiest way. You know that we like simple and cheap. We all dislike chips and nobody has the time to reapply her polish each day. There’s a limit on how cheap we can make our polish.
My favourite polish is Lakur from Londontown. It’s a collection of high pigment colors that stays on for days. There is a downside. It costs $16 per bottle. When you can get a polish that is decent for only $5, this price seems excessive.
A budget polish from a drugstore is perfect for regular and everyday use. These are the five polishes that I love and use.
Five Cheap Nail Polish Picks
1. “Opi”
2. Sally Hansen Insta Dri
You want to have beautiful, shiny nails. But you hate waiting? Yes, I agree. I find it hard to stay still for long enough to let my polish dry. Multitasking is a temptation I can’t resist, but it backfires on me when I spread my nail polish.
This is why I bought a bottle in slate gray of Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dri. The product dries faster than most, and it lasts longer. The price, $4.59 per bottle, is also pretty good.
Insta-Dri is available at Target and Walmart.
3. Essie
Essie Polish would also be a brand that I would put under the category of premium drugs. It’s available almost everywhere, but the price is steep compared with Wet ‘n Wild or other budget options. You’ll probably spend less overall on an essie nail polish than a two-dollar polish because the polish will last more than a day. It’s a great polish with vibrant colors and a glossy finish.
4. Sally Hansen Magic Gel Polish
Sally Hansen Magic Gel Polish is a great option for those who love bright colors on their fingertips. There are a variety of colors to choose from, including the classic mauves, peaches and spring favorites.
It is also not a special gel that needs any equipment. Use the included brush to apply the polish and then remove it with polish remover.
5. Revlon ColourStay Gel Invy
Horse riding is my favorite hobby, and it’s really hard on the nail polish. Revlon ColorStay Longwear nail polish combined with topcoat is the strongest polish I have. My polish will not come off when I pick up hooves or remove bell boots. It also won’t chip if my finger gets stuck while tightening the girth. If all that sounds strange, I can tell you this: the polish passed my test.
