When it comes to Hair I admit: I do not wash and style my hair every day. Since I work at home, it’s mostly just me that needs to be impressed. On the weekends, instead of searching for a comb or brush, I have been known to wear my hat hair all day. Sometimes, however, last-minute plans may arise and wearing a hat is not an option.
You don’t need to be a pro to achieve a style that makes you feel good. We have the perfect hairstyle for you, whether you’re looking for a simple look to run errands in or something more formal for work. Our top 12 hairstyles are easy and can be done within 30 minutes. Seriously!
Easy Hairstyles
1. A messy ponytail
Put on some skinny jeans and boots. Let your hair be a bit wild. For this style, lean forward and flip your hair above your head. Hairspray is a good idea. Flip your head and put your hair into a ponytail. Let any shorter hairs fall where they like.

2. This loose braid
One of my favourite weekend looks is the side pony, or side weave. It doesn’t require a hat. It’s not that French braid from junior high. It should only take a few minutes to create this loose and easy style. This look is best achieved with a bed-head. Start by adding some volume to your top hair. You can also roll out of your bed without brushing.
Secure your hair with a ribbon or clip. Try twisting back a section of hair from your front to give it a braided appearance. Let any front shorter pieces fall loose. Braid the hair in either a backwards direction or a forward direction. Tie the hair with a ribbon.
3. Honey Highlights
It was once a fashion, but honey-toned highlights are now a staple. This look can be achieved by your stylist or with wash-out color. We like Tokyo Vibes gold hair makeup.
4. The thick bangs
Try thick bangs to add sophistication to work clothes. You can always change your mind about the fall style. Seriously. You can easily pull bangs to the side or back if you don’t think they suit your face structure. They should grow out in about six months.
5. Elegant ponytail
It’s not the ponytail that we used to wear in fifth grade. This is a more sophisticated, sleek style we can proudly wear as mature women.
- Begin by cleaning and drying your hair.
- Try Hot Rolling your Hair as an alternative.
- Spray all the strands to ensure they are flat against your head.
- The strands should be swept back and placed on the top of your back. You’ve probably gone too high if you start feeling like you are a cheerleader, or watching I Dream of Jeanie.
- Use an elastic brush to secure the item.
- If your strands are sticking out in all directions, you may want to curl them with a flatiron.
6. Twist and pin
It’s the easiest way to create a classic and elegant look for work. Simply part your hair on the side and grab a piece. Twist it, then secure it with a bobbypin.
7. Make it a feather
Pair a feather smaller with an updo classic for a special dinner or night of dancing.
8. Head wrap
Head Wraps is another popular trend. If you’re going out with your friends, choose a wrap featuring rhinestones or metallic fabric. Wrapping your hair in wax prints is a great way to look like Nina Simone if you are a woman with color.
9. Pony buns upside-down
This look is as fast as it looks. Divide your hair horizontally in half. With the bottom, make a bun and pin it. Gather the top part as though you are making a ponytail and then tie it loosely using an elastic. Pull the pony out through the hole you made in your hair. Wrap the tail around the bun by dividing it in half. Pin it. If your hair is longer, you could tie it in a knot with chopsticks.
10. Adults can enjoy Half-Up
Make a loose, short ponytail by gathering the hair at your crown. Pull the pony through the hole you made between your elastic band and head. The pony can be left as is or you can add some curls or a braid to its end. Voila! Your childhood style is now a lot more stylish.
11. Ballerina Bun
The high bun adds a touch of class to the simple hairstyle. Start by creating a high bun. If you prefer a sleek and tight look, then sweep your hair tightly. You can also pull the hair back in a haphazard way to give it texture. Wrap the tail around, then tuck it in, like a sock, and secure the bobby pins. This look is great because it can be simple, straight and neat or a little messy.
12. The hairstyle
A wig is the ultimate in easy hairstyles. A wig is the easiest way for you to achieve the look that you desire, without having to go to a salon. If you’re looking for realistic hairlines, look for lace-cap wigs. Or if you prefer to mix your hair with the wig, choose a “half-weave” that can be removed.
